CUSTO DE TRANSPORTE RODOVIÁRIO DE SOJA DE ITAPEVA-SP ATÉ O PORTO DE SANTOS-SP

Road transport is the most used modal in the country, despite being the means of transport that implies higher costs having a direct influence on the final price of goods. For agricultural commodities that have a low unit value, the impact of transportation costs can negatively affect the competitiveness of agribusiness on the international stage. The objective of this study was to analyze the cost of road transportation of soy from the Itapeva producing region to the Port of Santos and to analyze the impact of this cost on the final price of soy. The cost methodology used is the method proposed by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT). To assess the impacts on soybean costs, the region's cost data were used, disaggregated into production costs. The results show that the transport cost directly influences the final price of soybeans, encouraging the need to work on studies that will guarantee improvements in this modal that directly interferes with the competitiveness of the national and mainly international market.
