Abstract

The pitaya production scale implies a variation in the commercial price, however, its cultivation may or may not be mechanized, and production occurs throughout the year, interesting to producers. The objective of the research was to carry out an economic and economic analysis of the implantation of pitaya in organic management in a family property in Tomé-Açu/PA. A survey was conducted in 2019, at Fazenda Colatina, municipality of Tomé-Açu/PA. In the first year, cultural efficiency was 0.61 MJ/kg-1 and cultural recovery was 0.29 MJ/kg-1. An estimated estimate was 16.2 tonnes per hectare, total cost of implanting the crop of R$ 53,797.56 and estimated profit of R$ 27,202.44. In the second year, a cultural estimate estimated at 1.01 MJ/kg-1 and a cultural estimate of 0.49 MJ/kg-1. Increase of 21.2 tons per hectare, cost of maintaining the productive area of R$ 22,323.06 and estimated profit of R$ 83,676.94. In two years, more than 60 % of energy expenditure went to direct energy from biological sources and less than 30 % to indirect energy from fossil sources. As a result, the feasibility of planting was favorable, since the expected profit arouses the interest of producers, ease of handling and high demand in the market.
