Abstract

: Brazil and one of the major producing countries of the world, being the sector of grain production (Soy and Corn) and almond (cocoa) strategic for the national economy. In this work a centrifugal fan of backward curved blades was constructed by a three phase motor with mechanical power of 735 Watts with 1730 rpm and a heating device with three resistors with fins and a silo with capacity of 178 Kg. It was verified that for the 90 ° aperture obtained a maximum flow of 12 m³. s-1, total pressure of 4523.9 Pa and temperature of 45 ° C. The objective of this work was to design, develop and analyze a forced convection drying system for the post-harvest process of grains and almonds, evaluating 3 different (90 °, 45 ° and 30 °) and the respective temperatures reached at each angle, as well as the determination of flow rate, pressure (dynamic and static), speed and noise produced by the system at each adjustment angle.
