Abstract

The design of localized drip irrigation systems requires knowledge of the geometry of the wet bulb, which allows for determining the area wetted by the emitter and meeting the assumption of the minimum wetted area and the necessary overlap. This work aims to determine the number and spacing between emitters for localized drip irrigation in perennial crops using a simplified electronic spreadsheet. The BULBOCALC spreadsheet was created in Microsoft Excel ® software using the VBA programming language. For validation, two case studies were adopted, one using an empirical method and the other using the field method. Simply put, BULBOCALC proved to be an effective tool for determining the number and spacing between emitters, and it is also possible to graphically visualize the geometry of the wet bulb for field tests.

Possui formação técnico/profissionalizante em Segurança do Trabalho (2016) e Graduação em Bacharelado em Engenharia Agrícola (2018), ambos pelo Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Goiano - Campus Urutaí e Mestrado em Agronomia - Irrigação e Drenagem pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP/FCA ? Campus Botucatu (2020). Durante a graduação, atuei como membro titular do colegiado do curso de Bacharelado em Engenharia Agrícola (2016), bolsista de Iniciação em Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Inovação - CNPq (2016) e do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica - PIBIC/ Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Goiano - Campus Urutaí (2017) e membro dos grupos de pesquisa: Núcleo de Pesquisa em Engenharia Agrícola - NUPEA - IF Goiano e Técnicas Sustentáveis de Produção de Hortaliças no Cerrado Goiano - IF Goiano desenvolvendo projetos de pesquisa nas áreas de Energia na Agricultura, Manejo da Irrigação e da Fertirrigação em hortaliças. Tem experiência com os softwares AutoCad e Sketchup; Condução de Experimentos envolvendo Manejo da irrigação via tensiometria; Manejo da fertirrigação; Reuso de água na agricultura; Qualidade da água para irrigação; Cultivo e manejo da cultura do lúpulo (Humulus lupulus L.) var. Cascade. Desde 2018 é membro do grupo de pesquisa: Lúpulo: Pesquisa, Aplicações e Manejo (LUPAM), onde desenvolve pesquisas junto à cultura do lúpulo. Atualmente é representante dos discentes e também, doutorando, ambos no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Agronomia - Irrigação e Drenagem pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP/FCA - Campus Botucatu.
