The optimization of mechanized systems is essential in order to improve the energy demand of the sets in agricultural operations and, consequently, reduce production costs. The objective of the work was to evaluate the energy demand of a set tractor-seeder, due to different furrow opener seeders and soil water contents under no-till of the soybean. The experiment was set up in a split-plot design in which the plots consisted of three soil water contents (0,258; 0,277 e 0,290 g g-1), and the subplots of two mechanisms for furrow opening (shank and double disk-type). The sub-subplots consisted of and the levels the press wheel of the seeder, to the delineation in random blocks composed and three replications. The soil water contentes influences differently the energy demand of a set tractor-seeder due to furrow type. The use of the shank increases the tire slippage, the power demand, being the power hight to shank regardless of the cutting depth. There was an increase of the power demand with the hight of the cutting depth for both furrows, as well as of the specific consumption of fuel using the shank.
