Abstract

The main objective of this work was to present the design of a photovoltaic system connected to the grid - SFVCR step by step, whose methodology was defined based on the analysis of several works found in the national and international literature, which approached the topic of SFVCR design. From which it was possible to extract various information, criteria and technical considerations, as well as very important equations that were not available in a synthetic way, nor organized in a sequential, logical and didactic way as in this work. It is believed that the main contributions of this work are: The detailed synthesis, showing the step-by-step to size an SFVCR, for the optimal adjustment between the photovoltaic generator – GFV and the inverter - IFV, aiming a safe operation, within nominal equipment standards, without compromising their useful lives; and the presentation of a new equation to calculate the maximum output power of the system using several loss factors that were extracted from the works analyzed and concatenated in a single mathematical equation. It is concluded that the methodology presented in this article can contribute to address many of the doubts regarding the design of SFVCR, especially with regard to the adjustment between the GFV and the IFV, this work also contributes to support in studies of technical feasibility and to serve as a guide for architects, engineers and technicians who are interested in SFVCR pre-sizing and forecasting for residential and commercial buildings, whether urban or rural.
