1 RESUMO

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL CHANGES IN THREE SOILS THAT RECEIVED INCREASING RATES OF VINASSE
2 ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to evaluate changes in organic matter content, concentration of potassium, calcium and magnesium, dispersed clay and water content at field capacity in Dystrophic Red Latosol (LVd), typical Eutroferric Red Latosol (LVef) and typical Dystrophic Yellow Red Latosol (LVAd). The soils were incubated for 20 days with increasing doses of vinasse (0, 40, 80, 160 and 320 m3 ha-1). The experiment was completely randomized with 3 replications, in a 3 x 5 factorial design, corresponding to 3 classes of soil and 5 doses of vinasse. No changes were observed in the content of organic matter in the 3 soils analyzed when different doses of vinasse were applied in the study. Potassium concentration increased linearly with the dose in the LVef and LVAd soils. Water-dispersible clay decreased at all doses applied in LVAd, and it was unchanged in the other soils.
