1 RESUMO

YIELD AND FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF THE SPINACH CROP UNDER DIFFERENT LEVELS OF NITROGEN FERTIGATION
2 ABSTRACT
Spinach is a vegetable with a very affordable price, rich in nutrients, and its consumption has been increasing in recent years. Even though, it has been little studied. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of different levels of nitrogen fertigation on the yield and cost of using nitrogen in spinach plants irrigated by drip. For the statistical analysis, randomized blocks in a split plot design were used, with six levels of nitrogen in the plots: 0, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 kg ha-1. The nitrogen levels applied in the irrigation water had significant effects on the main morphophysiological characteristics of spinach. The nitrogen fertigation led to an increase in fresh and dry matter as well as in net revenues at the dose of 150 kg N ha-1.
Keywords: drip irrigation, urea, Spinacia oleracea
