EQUAÇÕES DE CHUVAS INTENSAS COM DADOS CPC MORPHING TECHNIQUE (CMORPH) PARA O MUNICÍPIO DE ALTAMIRA - PA

The objective of this study was to generate intense rainfall equations, using satellite precipitation data. Precipitation data were obtained using the CMORPH technique of the National Prediction Center (CPC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The analyzes were carried out in three stations located in the city of Altamira (PA). It was used the type I extreme distribution (Gumbel), which had good adherence by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, to generate theoretical IDF curve for return times (TR) of 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 and 10,000 years with times of 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 120, 240, 360, 480, 600, 720, 1440 minutes. The synthetic stations 1 and 3 had good adjustments to the theoretical curves generated with the surface data, however the synthetic 2 underestimated the values, being this one with the lowest average of extreme precipitation. The IDF curves derived from the equations had coefficient of determination (R²) greater than 0.9. In this way, it is possible to affirm that the satellite data are viable alternatives in the generation of IDF curves, being essential for places where there are no historical records of precipitation.
